Lou has a vast amount of experience as a grant writer, beginning in 1981 with the Clare Public School District in Clare, Michigan. Later he became a school principal at Hillcrest Elementary in Alma, Michigan, followed by a district-wide grant writing position with the Alma Public Schools. Lou’s primary role for all grant writing contracts is the responsibility of researching, developing and writing full proposals, and assisting with budget narratives and details. He also oversees the submission and follow-up steps of the process.
