The Community Foundation of Howard County created a new grant writing assistance grant to benefit nonprofit organizations in Howard county. This is a pilot program from the Community Foundation that is a component of their ongoing Nonprofit Sustainability Program. The grant pays for the writing of a single grant proposal, which will be done by grant writers at Littleberry Grants Development. To be eligible, nonprofit organizations must be located in Howard county and have selected the grant program for which they need a proposal prepared. Organizations must complete the Grant Readiness Checklist as part of the application process.

“This is a great, innovative program. There are thousands of grants out there, but very few offer technical assistance for preparing a grant proposal,” says Lou Schafer, Lead Grant Development Manager at Littleberry. “Nonprofits can get the assistance they need with grants, and we’re happy to help in any way that we can.”

Organizations can start the process by visiting the Community Foundation’s website at https://www.cfhoward.org/grant_seekers.html#gsc.tab=0. Questions about the Grant Writing Assistance Program should be directed to Carrie Giannakos (765-454-7298 or [email protected]).
